Single Room in Kennington

CLARIFICATION - deposit is £525 not £400!

We have a small single room going free in our lovely house in Kennington. It’s just south of Oxford and sits on the 35 route into the city centre and Abingdon. There’s a large driveway, a large garden, a shed, shared kitchen, bathroom and living space. There’s already a car on the driveway and plenty of room for another.

The room itself is almost entirely furnished but will need a new single bed to go in.
The existing furniture in the room includes two sets of built in shelves, bedside table, metal shelving unit and a white shelving unit. If these aren’t to your liking then they can easily be removed as they aren’t the property of the landlord!

The house is technically unfurnished and so with the departure of the current tenant we have an opportunity to furnish the house with new sofas and general living room bits. I’m already looking into doing this is the most cost effective way and am open to any input from a new tenant :)

Bills come to around £170 pm including council tax (band D). Professionals are preferred so we can split the council tax three ways.

Myself and the current tenant are both working professionals, working 5 days a week/full time hours though on different working patterns. Kennington itself has a Co-op, a convenience store, a pub and the NCN route 5 between Abingdon and Oxford. The village itself is lovely and quiet, with the occasional train coming through the back. It’s surrounded by Bagley Wood to the west and Kennington Meadows and the Thames to the east.
