Looking for a housemate for 6 months in a beautiful, massive house in Balham, great social housemates, huge garden perfect for summer bbqs and a VERY cute well behaved dog (does not come upstairs).

Current housemate is going sailing for 6 months and is looking to let out his room while he is away.

Details:
The house is situated just 7 mins walk from Balham station, where there is both the underground and overground train. We also have a bus stop at the end of our street, with very regular busses. The house is just off Balham High Street, full of shops, bars, restaurants, a large Sainburys, Lidl and Waitrose. Not to mention lots of great brunch spots, including Milk and Brickwood, which are just a five minute walk away.

The room for rent is situated on the second floor and is very quiet, cannot hear any noise downstairs. The room is fully furnished.

The house is set across 3 floors and also has a basement, so space is not an issue (almost too much space!). Downstairs has a lounge room, huge kitchen-diner, toilet, office and back laundry area leading into a big garden to which we have also build an allotment at the back! The kitchen is the hub of the house - it has a large island in the middle, dining table, two fridge-freezers and plenty of storage space.

The first floor has three bedrooms, a large storage cupboard, and a bathroom with a freestanding roll top bath and powerful, stand alone shower. The second floor consists of a bedroom en-suite (room up for rent).

We are looking a young professional (aged 28-36) who enjoys being sociable, exercising, and wants to spend time together as a house - we all look after each other, are respectful of how we each want to live and keep a lovely clean house! As the garden is big we all spend time together keeping it nice and usable. Joining you are my amazing housemates Alice (29 - social media manager), Rob (37 - engineering consultant) and David (32 - coding). We all have a hybrid WFH / in office set up, and there is space for you in the ‘office’ for you to WFH should you want to.

We also have a small dog called Rhubarb (Cavapoochon breed) who we love to bits. She’s very cute and enjoys long walks and cuddles on the sofa. Please note, she is not allowed upstairs. She is based at home 24/7 (unless when out on walks or in the office with Alice), so we’re looking for someone who loves dogs!

It’s a very sociable house, everyone gets along so well and enjoys a good laugh and a drink (whether that be a Sunday roast, cup of tea or pint in the pub).

Particulars:
-Rent includes all bills except the fortnightly cleaner.
-Deposit is one month’s rent, and deducted from final rent payment assuming no major issues (so first month pay two month’s rent and final month pay no rent).
