Room to rent in Salford flat, 13 min walk to town
My flatmate is moving in with her boyfriend so there is a room available here. I have lived here 4 years and love the flat, I really don't want to have to move out, it's in such a great location, so convenient for town. Modern block of flats, this a 3rd floor flat, there is a lift, and there is also an enclosed carpark which I think you can enquire about getting a parking space. I can check on this if needed. There is a spyhole and intercom, and only 12 flats per block, so there aren't all sorts of randoms walking about the hall ways.
LOCATION - Situated on a quiet street just off Chapel Street, very popular upcoming area, lots of new flats being built around here. It is just over the river so it is Salford but it's pretty much city centre. The Arndale, AMC cinema, and Sainsburies Supermarket Regent Rd are all about a 13 min walk away.
Near all city centre rail stations;
Salford Central Station - 5 mins walk
Salford Crescent - less than 15 mins walk (Salford Uni is even closer)
Deansgate - Less than 20 mins walk (also a tramstop)
Victoria - less than 20 mins walk (same distance to Phones4u Arena)
Oxford Rd - about 25 mins walk
Piccadilly - 30 mins walk
Not too far from tram stops either, St Peters Square, Deansgate and Market St stops are all between 15-20 min walk away.
LIVING ROOM - The open plan living room/kitchen is a really nice space and has a balconette, which really lets in so much more light and it feels great to have the doors open when the weather is nice, also good to be able to stick your arm out and check on the weather when deciding on what to wear, you can never tell in Manchester! Keeps the heat pretty well in winter too, don't have to use the heating much at all, unlike a lot of my friends places! Also we don't have mould problems.
BEDROOM - This flat was a great find because both the bedrooms are a good size. The room is furnished with a double bed (really nice with black decorative metal ends), wardrobe, set of draws, and there is still room for a desk too if you wanted, and with all that there is still room to dance around.
BATHROOM - Standard modern bathroom with a bath with a shower in it (Thought I'd mention it because not all bathrooms actually have a bath!), as well as sink and toilet.
RENT - £287. 50 each pcm, bills (inc. council tax, electric, water, internet) work out at about £25 each a week, so for the week it's about £97, which is really good, especially if you work in town or are a student and won't have to spend any money on travel, all that bus money adds up fast!
PERSON - I guess I would fall into the arty/geeky section of a Venn diagram, and it would be cool to have a similar flat mate to have a laugh with, but any nice person need apply who isn't going to be wanting to have parties all the time, and isn't a slob! I'm vegetarian, I don't mind what you are but would prefer a veggie. As much as I'd love a cat, there are no pets allowed in this flat unfortunately.
