Flatmates wanted, to complete small utopia

Ad ref# 3470936

Hi, my name is James. I'm a 26 year old New Zealand / English guy who gets on well with all sorts.
I've just moved to Manchester to begin life as a mature student. After spending the last few years clutching onto my Musical Theatre degree, trying to make it as an actor in London (read bartender), I thought a change was in order. So I've decided to study acoustics at Salford next year and make my life about sound. This year however I will be working and saving some money hopefully.

The other tenant is Hereward, a young musician and something of a philosopher. He's studying at the royal northern college of music and is also easy to get on with. We met recently and decided to buddy up.

To me, the common idea of "student life" is exhausting. I don't want to party my way through the next 4 years and come out no smarter than when I started.

I want to live with people who are friendly, but not invasive; smart and opinionated, but not preachy; fun to hang out with, without being party drones... Well rounded individuals essentially.

I had some pre-requisites for the property too. I want to create a space where music can be made at whatever hour inspiration strikes without disturbing anyone, so a basement which could be soundproofed seemed like a good plan. I see myself as rather handy and like building things, so a shed/garage to convert to a workshop went on the list. And coming from New Zealand I can't live without at least a small garden (plus I have serious puppy envy at the moment and plan on getting one fairly soon).

I believe we have found that property. It's a 5 bedroom mid terrace house on Acomb st, practically a stone's throw from the city centre and next door to uni. The rooms vary in size from adequate to large and are all furnished with modern clean ikea stuff. The kitchen is spacious and modern and even has a dishwasher. There are two bathrooms, a small ish dining area and a large lounge. The yard is paved, but I plan on introducing some greenery ASAP and there is convenient ally access through a secure steel gate. All the rooms have locks as well.

Ultimately it's the people who make a house-share awesome though, so this add is mainly directed at finding a group who can get on well and make a house a home.

So if you're a "make it happen" type of person, a musician, a trades person, an artist, a philosophy major, a kayak instructor, a veterinary nurse or anything in between and you like the sound of an in home studio, cinema, workshop, bar and the occasional home cooked meal together then contact me and we'll create it.

Regarding bills etcetera, I can't say for certain how much things will be but a rough estimate would be around £75 - £80 per week for rent and all bills (tax, broadband, TV, gas & elec and water).
The place is also fully furnished, and the landlord is pretty reliable at sorting about issues if there are any.
Also, the place is let through an agent so there is a deposit and letting fee involved. £280 deposit and £125 letting fee. Plus one month rent in advance, don't bother if you can't / won't pay this. :)
